At the beginning of 2008, AWBUD Design & Build began, as the general contractor, the construction of ecological combined power & heat plant located in Wałcz. The facility will be a landmark in its kind due to technology applied and will provide a 7.2 MW of power production. Synergy of modern technology of charcoal production and generation of electric energy will provide an environmental-friendly character of the investment. Approx. 20 thousand tons/year of straw will be used for production of electric energy.

The scope of works included the demolition of existing buildings and erecting new facilities of the plant. The main facilities include the flue gas desulphurization plant, the coal distillation devices, coal packing, seasoning halls and ventilation & cooling tower with an external water cooling system.

Reconstruction and extension of mechanical and biological sewage treatment plant “Bobrek” in Bytom. The consortium will perform works on the most of existing technological facilities, including mechanical cleaning station, pumping station, biological reactor and Imhoff tank. Additionally, scope of works has included reconstruction and construction of a new sewer system sections with pumping stations near Konstytucji St. , Worpie and Św. Elżbiety St. in Bytom.

AWBUD Design & Build as the leader of the consortium with Synkret, has acquired the contract for the extension of sewage system for residential estate located in Bytom - Miechowice. Scope of works on contract, co-financed by EU funds, include replacement of the existing separate sewage system with combined sewage system. Besides that implementation of the main investment, project include construction of new canals and sanitary drainage channels, pipelines, pumping stations in Olchowa and Dzierżonia with land development, roads and vehicle maneuver areas. There will be also executed the underground rainwater storage reservoir.

In August 2006, Design & Build AWBUD wins a public tender for the construction of sewage treatment plant in Ogrodzieniec. The contract has included the construction of the mechanical and biological treatment plant with capacity of 500 m3/day and land development (landscape architecture, roads and green).

In the near future the expansion of sewage treatment to the capacity of 1000 m3/day is planned. AWBUD has designed and executed, plants complete technological system, the press, lime injection unit, aeration grates, agitators and pumps. It’s worth noting that the execution took place in difficult geological conditions, with need of lowering the ground water by 2 m.

AWBUD Design & Build as a leader of the consortium, implementing extension and reconstruction of mechanical and biological sewage treatment plant in Kozienice. Contract on FIDIC rules and regulations includes all construction works for waste treatment plant with maximal capacity of 7 629 m3/d and adapt facility to new law regulations.

MZEC Świdnica Sp. z o.o. plant extension with technology line based on gasification of biomass. Design of production and storage hall with surface of 500 m2 and infrastructure for implementation of technology line. Construction works were started in January 2010.

Scope of works: Designing and comprehensive construction works

This engineering structure in general contracting is a example of large scale earth works. The facility with 140 thous. Cu. M., lined with geomembrane and implemented gas intakes was executed in 3 months. Earth works with 100 thous. Cu. m. was implemented in one month.
